What are INSTIs?
INSTIs is another antiretroviral medication group design for the treatment of HIV infection. It is an integrase inhibitor use to block the enzyme responsible for the HIV cell replication inside the body. Usually, the health care advisor uses such drugs with the other compositions to treat HIV and avoid complications.
It is not a cure for HIV but the treatment that helps to overcome future complications. Moreover, the use of drugs offers some side effects but they will go away after consistent use or overcome with other medicine usages.
How do INSTIs work?
The person with HIV infection has a poor immune system that reduces the ability to fight against diseases and infections. INSTIs inhibitors effectively stop the replication of the virus inside T-cells and improve the efficiency of the immune system.
As the drug stops enzyme and reduces its efficiency to replicate virus DNA it reduces the amount of HIV inside the body. It increases the resistance and ability to fight back against the infections and have a quality life ahead.

- Bictegravir

- Elvitegravir
- Raltegravir
Side Effects
The use of an integrase inhibitor offers some side effects that vary from person to person. During the treatment, if the side effects are persistent then suggested consulting the health care advisor before stop taking the medicine. Moreover, it is suggested to discuss the allergies with your doctor before start taking the treatment.
