What is Tivicay (Dolutegravir)?

It is appropriate for people regardless of age, whether it be children, adolescents, or adults. Tivicay is the brand name Dolutegravir. The drug comes in the form of 10mg, 25mg, and 50mg tablets.

How does Tivicay work?

As an integrase inhibitor, this medication inhibits the functions of the virus in the body. It acts as a barrier that impedes HIV from expanding its number. On the other hand, Tivicay provides immunity that the body needs to fight other possible infections triggered by an HIV infection.

Dosage

Tivicay’s dosage depends on the following:

Adult Dosage:

• 1 tablet per day – 50 mg

Dosage based on weight:

• 20 kgs – 25 mg
• 30 kgs – 35 mg (25 mg + 10 mg)
