Description
What is Vonaday (Telura)?
Made up with three antiretroviral medications, Vonaday is a fixed dose medication used to treat HIV. This form of ART is a popular option for providing a combination of medications that work together to treat HIV. It is also available as Telura.
How does Vonaday (Telura) work?
It’s three components are:
Efavirenz
Lamivudine
Tenofovir
Efavirenz and Lamivudine are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI). Once combined, these medicines stop HIV from developing further and triggering other illnesses. It stops the enzymes that allow HIV to multiply. To stop the virus from advancing, Telura increases the capacity of the immune system.
